We’ve seen them revitalized on the spring runway, advertised in fashion magazines for everyone to judge/evaluate and are usually more reserved for formal events. They may not necessarily be your average go to pieces while selecting a fabulous outfit from your closet, but really are quite flattering to all body types, if styled and tailored correctly to the waist. They are what we like to call, peplums. Peplums are rouched ruffles or flared skirts cinched at and worn no lower than the lowest part of your waistline and flared over your hips; perfect if you want to look petite and accentuate your hips. Although they stand out from the rest with their wild and detailed approach, there are a select few pieces, which can be casually worn with a cute pair of shorts and dainty sandals, such as blouses and pencil skirts.
